19th Century Sevres-Style Candelabra
Item Details
A pair of 19th century Sevres-style gilt base metal and porcelain candelabrum, previously part of a garniture set. Each has a wide central stem topped by an embossed floral bobeche, repeated on four branches of curved arms of scrolled and acanthus decoration. The wide knopped stem is seated in a hand-painted yellow porcelain having a medallion of a European landscape scene surrounded in applied gold lustre. The urn is seated atop a raised base with rocaille and garland embellishment, surrounding hand-painted porcelain panels of putti in the European style.
