Wilhelm Schröter was born in Dessau, Germany and is known for his landscape and panorama paintings. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1886 with other trained European painters and worked for the American Panorama Company. He returning to Karlsruhe, Germany in 1888 where he spent the rest of his year’s painting.
