1893 Engraved Map of Italy
Item Details
An antique engraved map of Italy by E.B. Rathbun. This color printed map, published in 1893 to celebrate the Columbian World’s Fair in Chicago, Illinois, depicts Italy with geographical features and political borders as seen in the late 19th century. The work is presented under glass with layered white an blue mats in a distressed gold tone wood and gesso frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
