Antique Louis XVI Style Carved and Upholstered Settee

An antique Louis XVI style style settee. The settee is made of wood, with a metallic gold painted finish. The crest rail has carved ribbon trim with a pierced wreath and flowers at the center, and carved ribbon trim to the side supports, which have carved finials. The scrolled arms have carved leaf motifs, and the settee rests on straight carved and fluted legs. The settee has been more recently re-upholstered in a floral chintz fabric. No maker’s mark.

- surface marks, scratches, dings, wear; some peeling to wood finish; upholstery is more recent and in overall good condition with light wear, discoloration
