Henriot Quimper French Faience Pottery Bowl and Plate
Item Details
A collection of French Quimper pottery. This collection includes a round plate with bow detail at the top and a lugged soup bowl. These faience pieces are all hand painted with traditionally dressed residents of Brittany and floral scenes. They have multicolored floral designs and images of young people. The pieces have various styles of hallmarks. Quimper pottery originated in the Brittany area of France and was founded by Jean Baptiste Bousquet. It has been in operation for more than three hundred years.
