A vintage hand-knotted Persian Viss Heriz runner rug. This vintage rug was knotted by hand in Persia and features a rich crimson field with three coordinating stylized organic motifs to the center in a vibrant color palette of cobalt blue, apricot, magenta, sienna, and tangerine. The rug has four corner spandrels showing a similar organic patterning in the same color palette with highlights of rich forest green. The rug’s principle border features a repeating floral pattern in magenta, tangerine, cobalt, stone grey, apricot, and sienna over a black field, and is flanked on both sides by identical minor borders. The rug is finished with a double-wrapped selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
