Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Lilihan Sarouk Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Lilihan Sarouk rug. This vintage runner rug was knotted by hand in Persia and features a navy blue field densely ornamented with abstract patterning in carmine, chocolate brown, and light umber. The rug has mirrored corner spandrels, which are surrounded by a principle border showing stylized floral patterning in ecru, carmine, navy, puce, grey, and petal pink, as well as two identical minor borders. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvage to both sides, a natural warp fringe to one end, and a selvage to the other end.
