A vintage hand-knotted Persian Bijar wool palace size rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of indigo, salmon, ivory, azure, rose, sky blue, rust, and wheat. The indigo hued field features a densely designed herati pattern throughout, while framed in a salmon grounded main border also in a herati pattern. There is a pair of stylized floral meander guard borders, along with a chained diamond minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
