An antique games or work (sewing) table with a parquetry top, second quarter 19th century. The mixed wood (mahogany- and walnut-veneered) frame features a rectangular, molded top with inlaid backgammon and cribbage boards in ebony and satinwood. Directly below is a dovetailed, frieze drawer over a bag drawer. The burled, frieze drawer is inset with a brass escutcheon and the table rises on baluster-turned legs ending in a trestle base with scrolled, shoe feet and brass casters.

Condition
- scattered surface wear including scratches and nicks; veneer with some shrinkage cracks, mostly to top; base stretchers are loose where they meet right foot (glue residue is present from previous reinforcement), thus table is slightly wobbly; one stretcher is cracked while the other has a loss on the underside; missing sewing bag; table originally had a hinged, foldover top (now missing).
