Leonardo Nierman was born in Mexico City in 1932 and later became a leader in modern Mexican art. Nierman attended the National University of Mexico where he received a degree in mathematics and physics and later followed his passion for creating art. As a former lead violinist for the Mexico Symphony Orchestra, music became a primary inspiration for his art and can be seen reflected in the movement of his compositions.
