An early 20th century gouache illustration on paper titled Mirror of Ireland. Part 3, North, East, South, ☆, West by an unknown artist. This folk art illustration advertises Part 3 of the Irish Hibernicon panorama The Mirror of Ireland. It features a picturesque landscape of an arched bridge enclosed by theatrical scenery. The work is portrayed with vibrant pigments, simplistic forms, and small painterly brushstrokes. To the upper margin of the composition, the title reads ‘Mirror of Ireland, Part 3’, followed by the subtitle ‘Mirror of Irland; North, East, South, ☆, West’ and is additionally inscribed to the lower right of the composition. The piece is presented on white matting, behind glass and housed in a wood frame.
