A monumental brass rubbing titled Maud Chaucer from Ewelme in Oxfordshire, England. This piece presents a woman wearing a long dress and hooded cape standing with her hands held in prayer. It is rendered in gold-tone and red crayon against a black ground, and the brass is dated 1436. The work is presented unsigned under glass in a metallic wood frame, wired to hang.
