Item Details

A circa 1950s barber chair by Emil J. Paidar Company, Chicago, Illinois. The chair has been reupholstered in brown corduroy fabric, and features a telescoping headrest over a padded back and seat flanked by two armrests. The armrest supports extend to the lattice style leg rest above the pierced footrest, with an additional pivoting footrest extending to the front. The swivel chair is mounted to a heavy pedestal base with a side adjustment lever. The manufacturer’s name is cast to the headrest and footplate.
