Early 20th Century Mahogany Book Trough and Vintage Oak Base

Item Details

An early 20th century mahogany book trough and a vintage oak base. The book trough features two canted tiers, with the top example being flanked by a pair of pierced handles. There is also a flat, shallow shelf directly below the upper trough. It rises on four square, tapered legs ending in flared feet. Also included is an oak base, possibly for a side table or a stool. It has a five-spindle top and rises on four block-and-turned legs joined by a box stretcher. Both pieces are unmarked by the maker.
