1966 Coil Built Stoneware Vessel

Item Details

A coil built stoneware vessel created in 1966. This vessel features a square shape in the upper half, tapering in a cylindrical lower half. The vessels features a coil built ring pattern around the top, impressed circular motifs around the lower half, and additional irregular impressions throughout. It is accented with ring protrusions around the center and dripped white, brown, and black glaze irregularly applied throughout. The work is illegibly signed and dated ‘66’ in applied slip to the underside.

Condition

- two protruding rings have broken off at bottom of neck.
