An antique walnut Captain’s desk. This unusual and ornate carved desk, circa 1870-1880, features a blend of styles, dominant in Aesthetic Movement with Asian influences. Featuring highly stylized motifs, pierced panels, relief carvings and supported by ring turned supports. Large stylized bird finial to top. Writing area opens to reveal fabric lined writing area. Ornate brass pulls and hand cut dovetail drawer. Located on first level of home.
