An original oil painting on canvas board by contemporary listed American ‘Artist of the Southwest’ Peter Grab (New Mexico), titled Sol y Sambra. Grab is known for his loose, plein air style landscapes such as this one. The painting depicts a landscape filled with pale blue, orange-brown, charcoal gray, and forest green shrubbery painted in long, aggressive strokes. The painting is signed by hand to the lower left, and is titled to the piece’s verso. It is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Grab studied at the Art Center in Pasadena, California before moving to to New Mexico in 1981 and beginning to paint the Southwest landscapes he is now known for.
