Item Details
An Ansonia Clock Company tallcase clock. The clock has a classic style with a cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers with swan pediments and a brass urn finial on the bonnet. The clock features glass side panels and doors and a front door with beveled glass panes set in a goldtone frame and a glass front door on the top with a burl wood frame. The top door displays a brass face with scrollwork spandrels and a scrollwork center with a silvertone dial with raised brass Arabic numbers, three key arbors and black hands. Other features of the clock include a brass lyre pendulum, an 8-day Ansonia movement, chimes and the clock stands on a podium pedestal with inset panels and a plinth style base with bracket feet. The clock is marked ‘Ansonia’ on the face.
