A woodblock print on paper by Japanese artist Minagawa Taizo (1917-2005) titled House in Shirakawa. This piece depicts a baby sleeping in its bassinette near an indoor stove, the open walls of the house looking out toward a wide street. The print is marked with an artist’s monogram toward its lower left and is double-matted under glass in a wooden frame with a wire for hanging to its verso.

Condition

- fair; discoloration to print; slight warping to paper; crease to paper near upper left corner; surface wear to edges and corners of frame.
