An original abstract painting on canvas by contemporary Cincinnati artist Teresa Hull Tolentino. The abstract painting features textural layers in rich purple hues, overlaid by energetic splashes of paint in white and gold. The work is signed in black pigment to the lower center. The gallery wrapped canvas is presented without framing.

Tolentino was an artistic child growing up in middle class America. However, when she gained early acceptance to Xavier University there was no art major. Instead, she majored in Foreign Languages, which became a huge influence in her art. After working in education for over thirty years, including a professorship at Xavier University, she was finally able to begin her art career, using her entire life’s journey as her inspiration. Recently, and most poignantly, this has included her family’s struggle with Huntington’s disease.
