An oil painting on canvas of a floral still life by listed Contemporary Chinese artist Tsun Ming Chmielinski, created in 2004. Featured is a composition of white and pink flowers in a yellow and white vessel. This work is signed ‘Tsun Ming ’04’ to the lower right corner. To the verso is an informative label. This piece is presented in a wood frame with hanging hardware to he verso.
Tsun Ming Chmielinski is a Chinese artist raised in Hong Kong. Chmielinski moved to the United States in the 1970s and has a BA from the University of Massachusetts and an Master’s degrees in business from Bentley University and Emerson College. She received art training at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Massachusetts College of Art where she studied drawing and painting. Ming currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. Her work holds influences from Chinese culture, particularly Sumi-e ink wash painting, as well as Western subjects including portraits and still life.
