A vintage, hand knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool rug features a center medallion and pendants on a lozenge-shaped field, with spandrels, in a palette of scarlet, navy, powder blue, gold and cream. The field is framed by a Herati major border within carnation meander minor borders, and the far ends have white fringe. The rug is tagged underneath.
