Hand-Knotted Anatolian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Anatolian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of scarlet, azure, apricot, burnt orange, black, and teal. The azure toned field features five stepped diamond medallions each infilled with concentric diamonds, and an endless knot motif. The field also features hooked diamonds, rosettes, and more endless knot motifs. Framing the field is a main cruciform and endless knot patterned border, along with floral meander, and sawtooth guard borders, as well as running dog minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
