Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of red, cream, burgundy, moss green, espresso, sage, golden ocher, deep teal, and navy. The rug features a diamond shaped central medallion with sawtooth trimmed edges and a hexagonal shaped lozenge patterned with geometric herati designs. It is framed with carnation meander and sawtooth line guard borders and a main border of linked floral rosettes. Finished with overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe to either end.
