A pair of hand-painted miniature illuminated manuscript pages on parchment from circa 15th – 16th century books of prayer. The works feature devotional text with decorative gilt accents, drop caps, line fillers and ornate floriate patterns in the margins. The pages are held in off-white mats with double-sided windows and wrapped in protective plastic.

Condition

- warping to each ground; discoloration and foxing to paper; rubbing on gilt accents.

Dimensions

- measures one mat; visible image measures 2.5" W x 4.25" H.
