An original oil painting on canvas board of a landscape by Cincinnati based Contemporary artist Sarah Brown. This painting depicts an atmospheric forest scene including a distant line of trees with purple foliage against an overcast sky. The artist has applied the pigment heavily in the foreground, resulting in additional depth and dimension. This painting is presented in a gold-tone composite frame. The verso of this piece is signed and dated (’18) by the artist. It is equipped to hang.
Brown studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of Hartford and Hartford Art School. She continued her studies with several nationally and internationally recognized artists while establishing her own mode of Abstract Impressionism.
