Vintage Stickley "Cherry Valley" Side Tables
Item Details
A group of two vintage Stickley Cherry Valley side tables. Included is a Sheraton style example with a rectangular top overhanging a straight apron with a single, machine-dovetailed drawer. The thumbmolded, drawer front is fitted with a brass, batwing pull and the table rises on turned, tapered legs joined by a stretcher shelf and ending in ring-turned cuffs and ball feet. There are labels on the drawer interior marked ‘L. & J.G. Stickley, Inc. / Fayetteville, N.Y. / Makers of Cherry Valley Furniture’ and ‘A / Leopold Stickley / Original’. The underside of the stretcher shelf is stamped ‘3281’. Also included is a Queen Anne style cherry side table. It features an oval top overhanging a single, machine-dovetailed drawer with a turned knob. The table rises on splayed, block-and-turned legs ending in pad feet. The drawer interior is marked ‘Stickley / Fayetteville / New York’ and the underside is stamped ‘5003’.
