A pair of Hickory Chair Furniture Co. Queen Anne style open armchairs in mahogany. The frames are upholstered in pink and green, scallop-patterned fabric. They feature rounded crests above padded backs and shaped, spring seats flanked by scrolled arms with shepherd’s crook handholds. The chairs rise on shell-carved, cabriole legs in the front with scrolled returns and pad-on-disc feet. There are manufacturer’s tags on the undersides of the seats, including two marked ‘Special Construction / Sold To / William P. Taylor & Co. / 22 East 49 St. / New York, New York 10017’.
