1828 Austro-Hungarian 812 Silver Snuff Box

Item Details

An ornate 1828 Austro-Hungarian 812 silver snuff box. The elaborate design includes chased scrolling foliates, Baroque dolphins, and blossoms within a geometric framework, including on the hinged top lid. It has been personally engraved with a monogram on one side, and a candlestick upon a butter churn that reads ‘Butter in Five Minutes’ on the top. It is marked twice inside with the date, the 13 loth mark, and a maker’s mark of SES. The approximate weight is 3.470 ozt.
