Early 20th Century Singer Sewing Machine with Treadle Table and Attachments

Item Details

An early 20th century Singer sewing machine with a treadle table and attachments. The walnut-veneered table features a rectangular, hinged lid opening to a black metal sewing machine with gilt and nickel-plated accents. The top of the arm is marked ‘The Singer Manufacturing Co.’ while the support retains an oval, trademark plaque. Additionally, the baseplate is stamped with a serial number reading ‘AA312883’ and the back of the arm support is affixed with a light and a motor. Directly below the top is a central, hinged drawer with three interior compartments flanked on each side by a stack of three drawers with wooden knobs. The table rises on a cast iron, treadle base ending in casters. It is marked ‘Singer’ across the center with an oval, trademark seal on each pierced, scrollwork upright. Also included is a box of metal attachments.
