Antique and Vintage English "Blue Willow" Tableware and Spode "Italian" Dish
Item Details
A collection of antique and vintage English Blue Willow tableware by various makers and a square Italian bowl marked ‘Spode, Italian, Spode Design, 1816 Q’. The seven Blue WIllow dishes are decorated with a scenic design of a pagoda on a hill with an old willow tree stretching out over a cliff with a river that leads to a harbor and two birds flying overhead. The rectangular platter is marked to the underside ‘Burleigh Ware, Willow, Made in England’ dating it to the 1930s. There is a bowl marked ‘Warranted Staffordshire, Wm. Adams & Co, Tunstall, England’ dating it 1891-1900. There are a round plate marked ‘Willow Ware by Royal China’ dating 1949-60, a vintage scalloped plate marked ‘Wedgwood & Co England’, and three round plates marked ‘Old WIllow, Alfred Meakin England’ and ‘Willow Solian Ware, SOHO Pottery Ltd, Cobridge, England’, dating them post 1930.
