A 1948 watercolor painting on paper by listed artist Edna Martin (American, 1896 – 1996). This work, rendered with thoughtful brushstrokes, features a rolling landscape with clear blue skies overhead. Depicted is a brown and white horse standing behind a wire fence and a row of houses to the distance. It is signed and dated ‘48’ by hand to the lower right corner. The painting is presented unframed in a protective plastic sleeve. To the verso is a stamp from Bert Gallery.
