An antique pierced brass mantel clock. The clock is a French style 19th-century mantel clock that is circa 1870 with a brass case and an ornate design. The clock features a flame finial on a scrolled arm and an embossed bonnet with a rectangular shaped brass case that displays a pierced decorative and floral design with lion head side handles. Other features of the clock include a brass frame with beaded accents surrounding a bevel-edged glass cover that displays an embossed brass face with white porcelain hour markers painted with classic black Roman numerals, black hands and two key arbors. The clock has a brass pendulum, an 8-day time and strike movement with chimes and the clock stands on a brass base with embossed scrollwork and acanthus leaves in relief and tapered brass feet. There are no apparent makers marks.
