A reproduction bust in white resin created in 1998 by Design Masters Associates after a 1789 work in terracotta plaster by listed Neo Classical sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon (French, 1741 – 1828). The piece depicts the head and shoulders of founding father and third United States president Thomas Jefferson. The sculpture rests on a wooden plinth with dark finish and beveled edges. The bust is marked ‘DMA’ in mold to the back; the underside of the base includes a label with further details about the manufacturer, artist and subject.
