Edie Harper Limited Edition Serigraph "Wow!"

A 1979 limited edition serigraph titled Wow! by well-listed Cincinnati artist Edie Harper (1922 – 2010). The print depicts a stylized rendering of Jesus walking on water and ten disciples looking on from a boat. It is signed, titled and numbered 17 out of an edition of 750 in graphite to the lower margin. Presented behind a white mat and liner, under glass, in a silver tone metal frame, and is ready to hang with a wire.

Edie Harper described herself as a “Jill of all trades trying to master one” since she had been successful in many areas of art including photography, wood sculpture, weaving, and jewelry design, as well as painting and printmaking. Her husband, well-known artist and illustrator Charley Harper, called her “the thinking man’s Bible illustrator.” Edie’s work has been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Andover Art Museum, and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, as well as many others.
