Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Karaja Heriz carpet runner. This wool rug is featured with a series of pole medallions to the center field. It is worked in abrash tones of rich crimson, denim, gold, rose, black and fern. The design elements include geometric floral patterns of boteh, animal figures and palmettes. Framing the rug are checked and split leaf designs which flank a main border featuring ashik pendants. Selvedges are overcast, finishing with short ivory cotton fringe at either end. It is labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
