Hand-Knotted Persian Lilihan Wool Long Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Lilihan wool long rug. This rug is rendered in a faintly abrashed palette of salmon, blue-violet, ivory, cranberry, pine, cerulean, saffron, walnut, and sand. The salmon hued field features both herati and harshang patterns alternating throughout, in an array of colors. Framing the field is an unresolved main border of stylized palmettes, long stemmed florettes, and rectilinear forms. There is also a pair of carnation meander guard borders, and minor checked borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a dense cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
