A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a faintly abrashed palette of cranberry, ivory, blue-violet, aqua, wheat, peach, emerald, sky blue, and black. The cranberry hued lozenge features a bold design beginning with a central floral medallion ending with elaborate pendants, accompanied by leafy vines, and floral sprays. The scallop edged lozenge has a leaf motif border, and is grounded by a blue-violet field that features small spandrels, berry vines, leaves, and partial palmettes. Framing the field is a carnation meander main border, along with a sawtooth guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
