Item Details
A Japanese gouache painting on silk of a genre scene. This painting depicts two women standing in front of one another adorned in flowing garments, one of which cools herself down with a hand fan while the other looks at the rolling hillside featuring cherry blossom trees. The painting is contained by a circular band featuring symbols. It is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with a sawtooth bracket and a personalized inscription to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; debris under glass; fabric tearing to upper edge and upper right corner; creasing throughout; excess fabric to verso is very brittle.
