A landscape painting by Ohioan Conn Baker (1871 – 1944). Baker was a world-record bicycle racer known as the Columbus Flyer, a circus performer billed as the Amazing Diavolo, and a distinguished artist who ended his career as a state auditor. This vintage piece is an oil on canvas depicting a rural scene with a dirt road to the center and a house to either side. Marked to the bottom ’ Sun-Mon Jan 28 1924’. The piece is unframed.
