Birmingham and London, England Sterling Silver Picture Frames
Item Details
A group of British sterling silver picture frames from Birmingham and London silversmiths. The selection features two small Birmingham frames including one with a rectangular shape and repoussé scrolls around the edges by John Bull Ltd. and one with a beaded band around the edges, as well as foliate details, stamped ‘PJP’. These pieces are marked by the maker’s alongside hallmarks for Birmingham, sterling, and dates of 1986 for the John Bull Ltd. frame and 1991 for the frame stamped ‘PJP’. These frames are accompanied by a large London frame with repoussé foliate threaded trim, ribbons, laurel swags, and wreaths. This piece is hallmarked for sterling, London, and 1986. The lot also includes a small unmarked rectangular frame with double beaded border and floral details at each corner.
