A pair of mixed media artworks by Butler. This grouping features a pair of artworks titled ‘Cornice I’ and ‘Cornice II’ with one being a mirror image of the other. Each has a foliate design sculpted from plaster and hand colored in a palette of copper and metallic orange. The ground is an offset lithograph pattern depicting Persian motifs, and these works are presented under acrylic, matted and set in matching wooden frames with hanging wires to verso.
