A 1959 reproduction lithograph on paper after a Mourlot Studios lithograph poster for a 1955 Fernand Léger exhibit at Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen, Germany. The print originates from a 1959 book by Fernand Mourlot, published by André Sauret, titled Art in Posters: The Complete Original Posters of Braque, Chagall, Dufy, Léger, Matisse, Miró, Picasso. The piece features imagery after Léger, depicting a figure to the center with left arm raised, set against a backdrop of black geometric shapes, overlaid with color blocks of red and blue. Gallery information and a large facsimile signature are printed in plate below the image. A notation of ‘Mourlot, Paris’ is additionally printed in plate to the lower left. The work is presented under glazing and layered matting in a black wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The item includes a certificate of provenance from ArtWise of Brooklyn, NY.
