A mid-century serigraph on paper after Turner. The piece depicts the portrait of a Southern belle holding a small hand fan. The subject wears a flower-embellished hat and long pink and yellow dress with layered skirt; she stands in an outdoor setting of scattered green vegetation under a mauve sky. The print is signed in plate to the lower right, adjacent to a decorative patterned border. It is presented under glass in a pink wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- discoloration to print; scratches, scuffs and loose joints to frame; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; frame backing is somewhat loose; wear and exposed nails to frame verso.
