A circa 1980s acrylic polymer mixed media painting titled Mexican Wall #15 – Aztec by Michigan artist Marilyn Lilygren. The piece depicts a blend of color blocks and patterned rectangles, each suggesting Central American architectural motifs. Patterns include brick and stone, as well as geometric and sea serpent imagery. The work is signed ‘M Lilygren’ in brown paint to the lower right, with the artist’s full name and work title noted on a card adhered to the verso. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire.

Condition

- white stains and accretion to surface; small marks and scratches to surface of composition; toning to ground and verso; nicks, stains, markings and scratches throughout frame.
