A relief print on paper of riverfront homes. This carefully-carved piece depicts a line of buildings alongside a glassy river, a horse visible drinking from the dark water along the left side of the composition. The buildings, rendered with the block’s negative space, are contrasted against a line of shadowy trees in the distance. The print is illegibly signed and titled to its lower edge and is matted under glass in a reddish wooden frame without hardware for hanging.

Condition

- moderate discoloration to image; stains present all over, with some slight foxing as well; warping and wrinkling to paper ground; moderate wear to frame.
