Item Details
A reverse oil painting on glass of an Italian canal. This piece depicts a bridge spanning the water, which is lined to either side by ornate buildings. The painting features faint black detailing which appears to have been printed on before paint was added. It is presented in a wooden frame with a string for hanging and does not seem to include a maker’s mark.
Condition
- paint is peeling off the glass creating image loss; heavy wear and discoloration to frame and verso.
