An antique early Victorian mahogany upholstered armchair. The chair has a spoon back with egg-shaped beaded wood trim around the sides, flared and rolled arms that have scrolled mahogany supports, a serpentine front with carved egg-shaped beaded trim, and straight, round legs with delicate carved accents and small, round metal feet. The chair is upholstered in a gold colored brocade fabric with a diamond-patterned texture, and the chair back and arms are accented with deep button tufting. No maker’s marks.
