Antique English Transferware Including Pountney and Copeland
Item Details
A five piece selection of antique English transferware including Pountney and Copeland. Featured are a pair of plates by Pountney of Bristol in the Mandarin pattern. Each is decorated with a cobalt temple scene and copious fretwork band to the rim. They bear a triangle mark to the base dated to the early 20th century. They are accompanied by a blue flow plate by Copeland, marked with green stamp and impressed logo to the base, dated c. 1847-1867. A Blue Willow pattern pearlware platter and a cobalt transfer plate in the Wild Rose design are also included. These pieces bear no discernible maker’s marks.
