An oil painting on canvas of an American Western landscape, signed ‘N.J. Quinn’ and created in 1935. This landscape features large rock formation in the background with foliage, cacti, and dirt paths scattered throughout the foreground and middle ground. The composition is portrayed in an impressionist manner with loose textural brushstrokes and hazy details. The work is signed, dated, and titled to the lower left, however the title is concealed by the frame. It is presented in a gold-tone gesso and wood frame.A label from Sharon’s Frame Shop and Gallery is adhered to the verso.

Condition

- craquelure throughout painting; some rubbing and toning along edges; faint stretch marks near upper edge of painting; small spots of accretion scattered throughout sky; minor wear to frame includes scratches, stains, and finish loss scattered throughout.
